Volunteers are needed to support a literacy project in the Gambia, West Africa by lending their muscles and stamina to help sort, organize and pack books that have been donated to build libraries in rural villages in The Gambia.

Event: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY~ Women's Development in the Gambia
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political, and social achievements of women: Past, Present, and Future.
Title: "The Future for Gambia Women and Their Quest for Gender Equality". The guest speaker will be Mrs. Binta Sidibe Hydara, Director of Programs and Women's Rights activist at the Africa in Democracy and Good Governance Office in the Gambia. The talk will be followed by a working meeting on the literacy initiative.
